Batteries and chargers for motorbikes and quad bikes

Choosing the right battery is important both for petrol-powered vehicles with electric start and for electric motorbikes or quad bikes, where it is a key part of the entire drive system.

At Minibike-shop.com you will find batteries and chargers for pit bikes, mini dirt bikes, quad bikes and other vehicles. The range includes 12 V batteries for petrol models, batteries for electric vehicles, chargers for various voltages, as well as wires, connectors and battery boxes.

Batteries for petrol motorbikes and quad bikes

On petrol-powered vehicles, the battery primarily supplies power to the electric starter and other electrical components. Our range includes various 12 V batteries, including AGM versions, with different capacities and dimensions.

When choosing a replacement battery, voltage is not the only factor to consider. Capacity in Ah, battery dimensions, terminal positions, terminal type and the space available in the battery box are also important.

If you are replacing the original battery, the simplest approach is to compare its designation and specifications with those of the new battery.

Batteries for electric motorbikes and quad bikes

On an electric vehicle, the battery is the main source of energy for the motor. This category therefore also includes replacement batteries for electric motorbikes and quad bikes, including lithium versions and batteries designed for specific models.

Current examples include replacement batteries for the MiniRocket EcoPit 5000 W and EcoPit BOMB, alongside other batteries for electric vehicles.

Compatibility is particularly important with these batteries. They must match not only the voltage, but also the vehicle's electrical system, connectors, dimensions and other specifications.

Chargers for electric motorbikes and quad bikes

A charger must always be suitable for the specific battery type and voltage. The current range includes, for example, chargers for 36 V, 48 V, 60 V and 72 V systems, as well as models designed specifically for particular MiniRocket vehicles.

When choosing a charger, it is therefore not enough for the connector to fit physically. You need to check:

  • the battery system voltage,
  • the battery type and chemistry,
  • the charging specifications,
  • the connector type and wiring,
  • compatibility with the specific battery or vehicle.

Using an unsuitable charger can damage the battery and pose a safety risk.

Chargers for 12 V batteries

Suitable 12 V chargers are available for batteries used in petrol-powered vehicles. The current range includes, for example, a charger for lead-acid and AGM batteries, or the CTEK XS 0.8.

Here too, it is important to check which battery type a particular charger is designed for. Not every charger is suitable for every type of rechargeable battery.

What do V and Ah mean on a battery?

When choosing a battery, you will often come across two basic specifications – V (volts) and Ah (ampere-hours).

The voltage in volts must match the vehicle's electrical system. Put simply, the capacity in Ah indicates the amount of electrical charge the battery can store.

For example, 12 V 5 Ah and 12 V 20 Ah are both 12 V batteries, but their capacity, dimensions and intended use can differ significantly. Matching voltage alone therefore does not mean that the batteries are interchangeable.

Wires, connectors and battery boxes

This category includes more than just batteries and chargers. You will also find wiring, adapter connectors, holders and battery boxes, which may be useful when repairing or replacing a vehicle's electrical system.

With connectors and wiring, always check not only the physical design, but also that they are wired correctly and suitable for the electrical system in question.

How do you choose the right battery?

If you are replacing the original battery, start with its designation and technical specifications. In particular, compare the voltage, capacity, battery type, dimensions, terminals and connectors.

For electric vehicle batteries, it is advisable to search by the specific model or the exact specifications of the original battery. Voltage alone is not enough to make a safe choice.

How can you extend battery life?

Correct charging, suitable storage and regular use in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions all benefit the battery. Particularly when the vehicle is out of use for an extended period, it is advisable to follow the recommended storage procedure for the specific type of rechargeable battery.

Requirements can differ between AGM, lead-acid and lithium batteries, so it is not advisable to use one universal procedure for all types.
