ZUUMAV S3 125 is a well-built children's pit bike for young riders who want to move on from small automatic bikes to a proper motorcycle with a conventional clutch and manual gearbox. It combines a proven 125 cc four-stroke engine producing 6 kW, a four-speed gearbox and 14" front and 12" rear wheels.

With a seat height of 73 cm, the S3 has compact dimensions suited primarily to younger riders. Yet it already offers the construction and controls of a proper pit bike – a manual gearbox, clutch lever, hydraulic disc brakes, upside-down front forks and an oil-damped rear shock absorber with adjustable stiffness.

125 cc four-stroke engine producing 6 kW

At the heart of the bike is an air-cooled 125 cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine producing 6 kW. The four-stroke design offers smooth power delivery, good reliability and simpler operation, with no need to mix petrol and oil. The tank takes standard 95 unleaded petrol.

Top speed can reach up to 70 km/h, so the ZUUMAV S3 is certainly more than just a small children's bike for the garden. It has enough power for more experienced young riders and off-road riding. The actual top speed naturally depends on the rider's weight, the surface and other conditions.

Conventional manual gearbox – ideal for learning to change gear

One of the key strengths of the ZUUMAV S3 is its conventional four-speed manual gearbox with a clutch. The gear shift pattern is 0-1-2-3-4.

This allows young riders to learn how to use the clutch, throttle and individual gears correctly. They can then apply these skills when moving on to a larger pit bike, motocross bike or enduro bike.

Electric starter and conventional kick-start

The bike can be started in two ways. For maximum convenience, simply use the electric starter. A conventional kick-start lever is also retained, so the bike can be started manually too.

Ignition is handled by the proven CDI system, and the bike is fitted with a 12 V starter battery.

14"/12" wheels – the ideal size for young riders

The combination of a 14" front wheel and a 12" rear wheel offers a good balance between handling and the ability to tackle rough terrain. The smaller dimensions make the bike easier to handle and help young riders build confidence.

A 60/100-14 off-road tyre is fitted at the front, with a wider 80/100-12 tyre at the rear. The chunky off-road tread provides the grip needed on dirt, grass and other loose surfaces.

Upside-down front forks

The S3's chassis is more than a basic children's bike design. The front wheel is supported by a pair of upside-down fork legs, which help keep the bike stable over bumps and during faster riding.

At the rear, there is a central oil-damped shock absorber with adjustable stiffness. The setting can be tailored to the rider's weight and how the bike is used.

Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear

The bike's power needs to be matched by suitable brakes. That is why the ZUUMAV S3 is equipped with a hydraulic disc brake on both the front and rear wheels.

Hydraulic operation offers a light action, good braking performance and more precise modulation than simple mechanical systems. For young riders, it is particularly important that effective braking does not require excessive force.

Power restriction option

When first getting to know the bike, it is possible to limit the throttle grip travel. This lets a parent adapt the available power to the child's experience and gradually increase it as the rider gains confidence.

This option is particularly useful with a 125 cc engine, as the bike can later provide enough power for a more experienced rider without needing to be replaced by a more powerful vehicle after a short time.

Thick-walled frame and 428H chain

The bike is built around a strong, thick-walled frame designed for off-road use. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel by a heavy-duty 428H chain. A chain tensioner is also included in the design.

The handlebars are fitted with handguards, which not only complete the bike's motocross look but also help protect the rider's hands from mud, small stones, branches and other debris.

Who is the ZUUMAV S3 125 suitable for?

In terms of size, the bike is intended primarily for young riders. The manufacturer gives an approximate age range of 7 to 12 years, but the individual child's height, weight, physical ability and previous experience are far more important than age alone.

The seat height of 73 cm allows even smaller riders to control the bike well. The recommended sustained load is 70 kg, with a maximum short-term load of up to 100 kg.

However, with a power output of 6 kW and a top speed of up to 70 km/h, this is a proper off-road motorcycle, not a toy. A beginner should always ride under adult supervision and with an appropriate throttle restriction setting.
