Filters are essential service components in an internal combustion engine. The air filter limits the entry of contaminants into the intake, the fuel filter traps contaminants in the fuel and the oil filter helps keep the engine oil clean.
In this category, you will find more than 100 filters and related parts for pit bikes, mini motocross bikes, minibikes, quad bikes and other petrol-powered vehicles. The range is clearly divided into air, fuel and oil filters.
The air filter traps dust and other contaminants before they enter the engine with the air. Its condition is particularly important on off-road vehicles that are often ridden in dusty environments.
Our range includes various foam, flat and sports air filters, as well as airboxes and filter elements for specific vehicles. Currently available examples include flat filters in sizes of 35, 38, 42 or 45–46 mm and foam versions for pit bikes.
When choosing a filter, it is particularly important to check the carburettor connection diameter, the overall filter dimensions and the space available for fitting it.
Some vehicles use a separate air filter fitted directly to the carburettor, while others have the filter housed in an airbox.
An airbox is not just a filter holder. It forms part of the complete intake system, so removing it or replacing it with a different type of filter can affect airflow and mixture settings.
If you are simply repairing a standard vehicle, retaining the original intake layout is usually the easiest option.
Foam filters used off-road require regular inspection and maintenance. Depending on the specific type, the filter can be cleaned and then treated with a suitable air filter oil.
The maintenance interval depends mainly on the conditions in which you ride. After riding in very dusty conditions, the filter may need checking considerably more often than during recreational riding in cleaner conditions.
It is better to replace a filter that is damaged, falling apart or otherwise unfit for use.
A fuel filter helps trap contaminants in petrol before they enter the carburettor. The current range includes conventional plastic filters, coloured versions and CNC-machined versions with a replaceable internal element.
When choosing a fuel filter, check the diameter of the connected fuel hose and the flow direction in particular, where the manufacturer specifies a flow direction for that filter.
A clogged filter can restrict the petrol supply, so it is worth checking its condition when troubleshooting the fuel system.
On engines equipped with a replaceable oil filter, regular filter replacement is part of lubrication system maintenance.
Our range includes oil filters for Zongshen, YX, Lifan and other engines, such as HF118 for Zongshen 190 and YX160, HF131 for selected CB250 engines, and filters for Zongshen NC250 and NC450. The range also includes oil strainers.
When choosing an oil filter, we recommend using the specific engine type and designation as your guide, rather than its capacity alone.
Lubrication system designs vary between engines. Some use a conventional replaceable oil filter, while others may use an oil strainer or a combination of several components.
Currently available examples include strainers for GY6, Lifan, YX and Zongshen engines.
Maintenance should therefore follow the design of the specific engine and its manufacturer's recommendations.
When choosing filters, it is best not to rely on engine capacity alone. Two 125 cc pit bikes or two 110 cc quad bikes may use different filters.
For an air filter, check the connection diameter, dimensions and mounting method in particular. For a fuel filter, check the hose diameter and connection design. For an oil filter, the safest approach is to choose according to the exact engine type or the designation of the original filter.
If you are unsure, compare the new part with the original filter, including its dimensions and designation.
Pit bikes, mini motocross bikes and quad bikes often operate in conditions full of dust, mud and other contaminants. This is precisely why checking filters should be a routine part of regular servicing.
There is no universal replacement interval, however. It depends on the specific engine, filter type, frequency of use and the environment in which you ride the vehicle. Always follow the service schedule for the specific vehicle and take the actual condition of the filter into account.
