The electrical system in today's motorcycles and quad bikes does much more than just provide ignition or lighting. On petrol vehicles, it handles functions such as ignition, starting, charging and lighting, while on electric models it connects the battery, control unit, electric motor, controls and other electronics. In this category, you will find electrical systems and electrical spare parts for pit bikes, mini motocross bikes, minibikes, quad bikes and other vehicles. The range includes 275 items divided into 19 subcategories.
Important components on petrol motorcycles and quad bikes include the CDI control unit and ignition system. The range includes CDI units of various types and designs, including parts intended for specific Lifan or ZongShen engines, or selected buggy and quad bike models.
When choosing a CDI unit, the number of pins or a similar-looking connector alone is not enough. What matters is the ignition type, connector pinout and compatibility with the specific engine and wiring system.
An ignition coil is part of a petrol engine's ignition system and helps generate the high voltage required by the spark plug.
Here, too, there are several designs. The current range includes coils designed for more general applications as well as parts intended for specific engines and vehicles. When replacing a coil, compare the connectors, mountings and other specifications of the original part.
A damaged wire, connector or complete wiring loom can cause a fault that is much harder to trace than a mechanically damaged part. That is why the range also includes main wiring looms and individual electrical wires.
Current examples include wiring looms for ATV 110/125 cc, MiniRocket TRO50, Mikilon Defender, SKYTEAM or the Zongshen 190 engine, as well as wiring looms for electric quad bikes and PitVolt.
When choosing, always compare the connectors, the number of wires, their connections and the intended application of the specific wiring loom.
On electric vehicles, the motor controller is a key component. It works with the battery, motor and controls to manage the operation of the electrical system.
This category therefore also has a dedicated section for ECO control units.
When choosing these units, you must take the vehicle's specific electrical system into account. A rating of 48 V or 60 V alone, for example, does not necessarily mean that two control units are interchangeable.
The electrical system also includes starter relays, fuses, circuit breakers and voltage regulators. Each of these components has its own function in the electrical system and must meet the requirements of the specific vehicle. Never replace a fuse or circuit breaker with an arbitrarily chosen higher-rated version simply to stop it blowing or tripping again. Repeated operation of a protective device may indicate a fault that needs to be identified first.
The electrical system also includes components that the rider operates directly. The range includes STOP switches, on/off switches, limiters, ignition switches, tether kill switches and remote controls. Some models of children's quad bikes may, for example, have safety cut-off or limiting features. However, this always depends on the design of the specific vehicle.
More modern petrol and electric vehicles also use various displays, instruments and gauges. The current range includes, for example, displays for PitVolt and eBeast electric motorcycles and electric quad bikes, as well as instruments for petrol ATVs.
Compatibility is crucial when choosing a display. A similar shape or the same voltage is not enough – it must communicate correctly with the electronics of the specific vehicle.
Lighting and horns also form a separate part of the electrical equipment. The category has its own lighting section, and the current range includes indicators for quad bikes, for example.
When replacing a light or indicator, check the voltage, connector, mounting method and electrical specifications of the specific part.
When choosing electrical components, it is very important not to rely on appearance alone. Two connectors may look the same, but their individual pins may be wired differently.
Before ordering, we therefore recommend comparing the original part identification, voltage, connectors, number of pins and pinout, dimensions and the specific vehicle or engine model.
If you are unsure what is causing the fault, it is better to carry out diagnostics first. Replacing individual electrical components by trial and error can be unnecessarily expensive and may not resolve the actual problem.
Although some components may have similar names, the electrical systems of petrol and electric vehicles work differently.
On a petrol pit bike or quad bike, the components typically involved are the CDI unit, ignition coil, stator, regulator, starter relay or wiring loom. On an electric motorcycle or quad bike, key components include the control unit, main wiring loom, sensors, controls, display and connections to the battery and electric motor.
Always choose a part to suit the specific design of the vehicle, not just its general name.
